Tax preferences of the Kaliningrad Special Economic Zone are of interest not only to companies from other Russian regions, but to representatives of foreign IT companies. On Monday, March 25, with the assistance of State Duma deputy Alexander Yaroshuk and the Development Corporation, the visit of the head of Canadian service company Foxit Georgy Vaskovich began.
During the meeting with General Director of the Development Corporation Andrey Tolmachyov and Deputy General Director Oleg Skvortsov, he spoke about the company specifics and the prospects for entering the Russian market. “There is an interest to register a legal entity in the Kaliningrad region, to attract your specialists and thus increase the list and volume of services provided. Now our company supports more than 5,000 customers worldwide. We take care of customers to provide them with telephony, network, server solutions; we provide 24-hour technical support. In connection with the growth of the client base, we intend to increase the staff of the division engaged in technical support of customers and partners. We are talking about 40-60 employees” - George Vaskovich said.
Andrei Tolmachyov expressed gratitude to the company for the visit to the Kaliningrad region and interest in the SEZ. He told about the results of the updated law on the SEZ and the specifics of IT-companies registration in the region.
It should be noted that during his visit to the region, Georgy Vaskovich will also visit the Fund "Center for support of entrepreneurship of Kaliningrad region”, meet with its leadership, and also hold talks with the Minister of Digital Technologies and Communications of the region Alexey Ignatenko.
